Comfrey is such an amazing herb. It is known as a "Knit-Bone" herb. This is because of the componant Allantoin which gives comfrey the mucilaginous properties and what makes it such a great healing companion. It is said to relieve pain, inflammation and swelling of muscles and joints in the case of degenerative arthritis, back pain, sprains, contusions and strains after sports injuries and accidents, and to possibly help with fibromayalgia. We use both the leaves and root in our salve in order to get the benefits of the entire plant.
 
Sensitive Skin: Our sensitive skin salve is just beeswax added to olive oil infused with comfrey. That's it. Perfect for people who are sensitive to essential oils, but still want the benefit of comfrey. 
 
Essential Oil: Our essential oil salve not only has comfrey but the added healing benefits of the following essential oils: Frankinsense, Copaiba Balsam & Thyme

*** It is said that comfrey can cause a bioaccumulation of alkaloids in the liver. This has only been proven when taken internally and there is no evidence that using comfrey externally will cause this. However, it is suggested to only use this salve 10 days in a row and use caution if you have liver problems.
